This Privacy Policy describes how LEData ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the LEData iOS app and the LEData display hardware (collectively, the "Service"). If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

We collect only the information needed to operate the Service.
When you create an account, we collect: - Email address — for account identification and account-recovery communication. - Username — your public display name. - Password — stored only as a one-way hash on our servers. We cannot view or recover your plaintext password.
When you register an LEData display to your account, we collect: - Device unique identifier (UID) — assigned by the display hardware. - Display name — the label you set for your device. - Display location (city or coordinates) — used to fetch correct weather and timezone for the device. - Display configuration — your content/template choices (e.g., favorite teams, stocks, weather locations).
The app may request location ("when in use") with your permission. When granted, we read your device's current location to pre-fill the default location for a new LEData display so weather and timezone are correct out of the box. The location may be precise (latitude/longitude). We do not track your location in the background. We only store location on our servers when you explicitly assign it to a registered display; otherwise it stays on your device.
The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) only during the initial Wi-Fi setup flow, to send your chosen Wi-Fi network name and password to the LEData display. Wi-Fi credentials are transmitted from the iPhone directly to the display over BLE; they are not sent to our servers or stored by the app after setup completes.
If you submit a support request from inside the app, we collect the category you choose, the message you write, and (if applicable) which of your registered displays the request relates to. We use this information solely to investigate and respond to your request.
We use collected information to: - Authenticate you and keep you signed in. - Register, configure, and manage your LEData display(s). - Fetch weather, sports, stock, and other content that you've chosen to show on your display. - Communicate with you about your account, security issues, or significant changes to the Service.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
Your information is processed on infrastructure we operate at api.ledata.net and data.ledata.net. Specific third parties involved in delivering the Service:
We do not share your account information, email, password, location, or device data with any party for marketing or advertising purposes.
We may disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of LEData or its users.
No system is perfectly secure. If you become aware of a vulnerability, please report it to [email protected].
LEData is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete the data.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: - Access the personal information we hold about you. - Request correction of inaccurate information. - Request deletion of your account and associated data. - Withdraw consent for processing (which may require closing your account).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email to your account address.
